About the event

MONIN Open Baltic Challenge is a unique event for young bartenders and baristas where participants compete, showcase their skills, and gain new knowledge. It also encourages young professionals to develop social and interpersonal skills, share experiences, and connect with other schools and countries. 

This is the first event of its kind, proudly organized in partnership with VESK, MONIN, LAVAZZA and SANGAIDA. A key highlight of the event is the dynamic combination of simultaneous bartender and barista competitions, creating an inspiring space for creativity, growth, and collaboration.

Students from other European countries may participate through Erasmus+ KA1 mobility.

09:30–10:00 Briefing for participants

10:00–11:00 Official opening + Anastasya Sudak masterclass “New cocktail-making techniques”

11:00–15:00 Competitions (Stage 1 and Stage 2) + Open area: Syrup Blind Tasting & Cupping (open to all visitors)

15:00–16:00 Stage 1: Kahoot! quiz game

16:00–17:00 Awards ceremony

Competition Rules

All competitions are conducted according to officially approved rules to ensure fairness, transparency, and equal conditions for all participants. Competitors must follow the set time limits, ingredient requirements, and presentation guidelines. Final evaluation is based on technical skills, creativity, presentation, and overall quality of the drink.
